What the council does

Three ways we move the needle

MYCC isn't a club that meets and disperses. Every member sits on a committee with a docket, a budget and a deadline. Three nights of Haunted Woods in October with all profits going back to the community

Serve

The Spartan Closet, the Children's Pantry, blood drives, holiday routes. Unglamorous, hands-on work with partners who count on us showing up.

600 students a yearSee the projects

Advocate

A delegation on the hill every general session, briefed on real bills, sitting in committee hearings and meeting Murray's legislators. Being young isn't a reason to be spoken for.

Every general sessionSee the delegation

Build

Paid internships with Murray businesses, state apprenticeships, finance class and Youth CERT. We were the first youth chamber in the country and we still act like one.

Nobody here waits to be told what needs doing. Somebody notices, and then we go.
