You don't have to sign up for everything. Most people start at the top of this list and move down it when they're ready.

The lowest-stakes way in. Walk into any council meeting at City Hall, sit wherever, and see whether this is your kind of room. No sign-up, no notice, no pressure to come back.

What happens next
From form to first build
Four steps, about three weeks, and none of them involve an interview.
Step 1
Send the form
Two minutes. We ask for your name, school, and what you'd want to work on.
Step 2
We reply in two days
A committee lead emails you the next meeting date and what to expect.
Step 3
Come to a meeting
Sit in, meet people, pick a committee. Still no commitment at this point.
Step 4
You're a member
Seated at the next council vote. Hours start counting from your first build day.
What membership costs
$0
Membership, materials, transportation to build sites, and event food are covered by the council's city budget and our sponsors. If a trip ever carries a cost, scholarships exist and nobody has to ask twice.

Before you ask
Questions we get a lot
Any Murray student in grades 9 through 12, plus incoming freshmen from the spring of 8th grade. You don't need a GPA, a recommendation letter, or prior leadership experience. What you do need is to want to be here and to actually turn up.
